About

I'm Seka, a designer and researcher in Brooklyn.

Farmer. My partner and I are planning a move to the Kenyan coast to build an agrarian retreat for fine living and sustainable innovation: a working farm with our home on it, a wellness resort, and a workshop where farming and technology meet. The farm is the source of everything else. We're writing the plan now: East Africa Farm Vision.

Design Engineer. I run Seka Works, a small digital and physical product design practice. My school of thought is finding the thread between two ideas -- whether that's old and new, organic and artificial, or physical and mythical. I care deeply about crafting beautiful things that pull you in by those threads.

Researcher. I lead research that turns how people actually behave into product bets. I've spent over ten years building the systems behind decisions: research programs, frameworks, and live prototypes that push my teams from zero-to-one, then to scale. Today that's at Current, since 2022, and before that at Cash App.
